Folks...
for those of you that may not be aware, the hosting server where our website was located was subjected to a unix attack on last thursday night by a hacker, which in effect, put our website offline, amongst many others.
Derrick and I had not planned on going live with the new look website just yet, but circumstances have dictated otherwise and so the new look website is now online.
Please take time to look through and see whats on offer. The new version is a lot more user interactive, and will require you to register initially, but this registration will allow you to fully use the features available, such as creating your very own photo gallery and being able to upload your own images...
the forums have been reduced in size but to a more functional level...you now have the option to opt in or out of receiving the club newsletter also. These features should help reduce the level of 'spam email' that some members have complained about.
Have an event you'd like to list? maybe not a club outing but you'd like to see if some members want to meet up and head out for a trip/shoot somewhere? Now you can do just that simply click on events on the top menu and list your request under the appropriate category.
New photo uploads appear on the homepage....and our club executive will be able to update information as they need to in their representative role for the club.
If you like something in the news section such as Autumn outing by Tom, to the right of the title, you will see links which will allow you to print it, save it as a pdf file...or even email it to someone.
Ideas and suggestions are welcome, and Derrick and I hope this will become a central point for members.
